| short cv | Dirk Aeyels received a degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from the Universiteit Gent, Belgium. He received a M. Sc. degree and a D.Sc. degree in Systems Science and Mathematics from Washington University, St.Louis, U.S.A. He has been a Visiting Professor at the Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium. At present he is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Engineering at the Universiteit Gent, and Director of The SYSTeMS Research Group. He has taught courses on Nonlinear Systems, Linear Systems, and Analysis and Control of Power Systems. Currently he teaches courses on Dynamic Electrical Systems, Control Engineering, and Physiological Systems. He is the author of numerous research papers in International Journals and Conference Proceedings. He has been Associate Editor of Systems and Control Letters and is currently Associate Editor of SICON (Siam Journal on Control and Optimization) and Associate Editor of European Journal of Control. |
